Growing like a weed

Logan has his 6 month check-up this morning. He is just over 16 pounds and 27 inches long! His doctor says he's going to be tall...he is VERY long and thin, but growing well. Hard to believe he is already 6 months old. He is dying to crawl, but can't quite get the hang of it. Soon enough though. Still no teeth, but they MUST be coming soon...he's a drool machine.

Moving Forward

So Jordan is officially daytime potty trained. This is a huge success story for us. I remember just a few weeks ago, feeling like he would be in diapers forever. We are going at the nighttime thing cold turkey tonight. He wanted to wear his underwear, so we let him. I don't think it will take more than a few days to have the nighttime taken care of as well. We are very proud parents!

Our meeting with Fr Tom went well. He approved our music list. This was a victory for sure...apparently it's a first for the church to allow a CD instead of just using the organist! All of our music is appropriate, of course. But we were still concerned. We've received ALMOST all of the RSVPs, and we're looking at about 110 people...WOW! We need to meet with our florist this week and hash out the specifics on the flowers. Down to only 33 days!!!

Big Success Story

We had a GREAT potty day today! Not one single accident. Every time he had to go, he told daddy, and off they went. We've (well, daddy) discovered that he does much better when he isn't being watched. So, we get him situated, then leave the room and wait for the "I'm going pee-pee!!" and then help him aim properly. So proud of my big boy!! He got so many stickers today that we ran out of spots on the chart!

On the right track

We had a good day yesterday. Jordan only had one accident. He's getting to be such a big boy! Logan appears to be teething and has become cranky and a drool machine! I really hope these teeth cut soon...I want my happy boy back!

I received a shipping notice yesterday for our wedding favors. I cannot wait for those to arrive so we can start putting them together. We meet with Fr Tom on Tuesday to work out the vows and all the ceremony bits. I can't believe we've got less than 6 weeks to go!!

Potty Training...HOORAY!

So we are deep in the throes of potty training right now. We have had Jordan in underwear for 3 days and he has gone in the potty a few times, but mostly it has been LOTS of accidents. We are trying to stay positive and supportive and take him as often as possible. He is very good about telling us as he's going or immediately after, so he is aware. It's just very frustrating. I hope we can get through this very soon. He's such a smart boy, we just need to find the key to the potty thing that will flip the switch in his brain. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Happy Birthday Papa Jack

Our trip home was wonderful! We had a relaxing Saturday, and then celebrated Papa's birthday on Sunday. 6 out of 7 grandchildren were there, and 4 out of 6 kids made it. We had a blast surprising him and building his horseshoe pit. Then the kids played in the water while the grown-ups caught up on events. It was extremely hot out, but such a wonderful day none-the-less. More photos can been found at http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b98/trobertson05/Papas%20Birthday%202010/

Home Again Home Again

We're visiting my parents again this weekend. We have a counseling session for the wedding and to celebrate my step-dad's birthday. I'm very excited to see my siblings and my nieces and nephews. We'll be celebrating tomorrow with a barbeque. I always love coming up here...it's so peaceful. Hot, but peaceful. Will hopefully get to take lots of great pictures while we're here. All I have to do now is figure out how to post them here haha

Keeping Fit

Have you ever noticed that when you've been working out and eating better (even if it's only been a few days) that you magically think you look like a million bucks, overnight?! A week ago I was convinced that I was a whale and was stressing about my wedding dress fitting next month. Today I feel like I've lost 50lbs (it's actually 6lbs, so it's definitely a start!) I have ran/walked at least 2 miles every night this week. I'm also staying well within my calorie limit each day...I would love to say that I'm eating all healthy foods, but I'm not. But I'm still counting calories, and staying in that zone. It feels good to be getting into better shape. Here's to hoping we have to have my dress taken in!

Welcome to my thoughts!

Well hello! I am terrible with keeping everyone up to date on the happenings in our home, but I have always loved to blog, so hopefully I can keep up with this. I used to write at least one every day, so here's hoping!

I cannot believe it's June already. Can anyone tell me where this year has gone? The wedding is next month! We are at 52 days and counting. We've made excellent progress in the planning process. I ordered the favors a few days ago, and will be ordering Jeremy's ring this week. After that, the only things left to order & pay for are the tables/chairs and the food! Both of those only require a week notice, so I have plenty of time. As of this afternoon, all of my girls have their dresses...that is a HUGE relief for me! I was so worried time would run out and the dresses wouldn't get here in time. We're looking at a rather large turnout...far more than we expected. We certainly are feeling blessed and loved by these results.

Jeremy has just finished his spring semester, and has completed his AA Degree!! So proud of him. He is juggling school with being a stay at home dad. He has done wonderfully with raising our babies.

I am still a Store Manager with Blockbuster. I still love what I do. I am working hard at paying off all of our debt so that one day soon, I will be lucky enough to get to stay home. I am contemplating going back to school to get my Master's, but I think that getting Jeremy through school is the first priority.

Jordan is getting bigger and smarter every day. It's amazing to me how intelligent he is. At barely 2 years old, he can count to 10, sing *most* of his ABCs. He knows all of his colors, can recognize most letters by sight and can recognize even the most unusual animals. We are *slowly* working on potty training. Every day he shows more and more interest in it, so I'm hoping to get over that hurdle very soon.

Logan will be 6 months old in 2 weeks...WOW! How did that happen? He is rolling an scooting...crawling is in our near future. It's looking like he will stay a blue-eyed boy, and we're leaning toward thinking he is left-handed, which makes Jeremy VERY happy!

I think that pretty much catches everyone up. I will try to blog often, hopefully every day.
